Jammer's 100 Good Wishes Quilt

I know that it has been more than 2 years since anyone has posted here but I'm going to give it a try anyway. I wanted to share with all of you a picture of Jammer's 100 Good Wishes Quilt.
It turned out better than I ever expected it would. I've received so many compliments on it from experienced quilters whos work I admire. I did it all myself and it is huge, 116" x 130". Through the process of collecting the squishes and figuring out what to do with them, I decided to do some of the work myself. I took a quilting class and lets just say, the rest is history.

I am a fully addicted quilter now. I love it more than words can express. To date I have completed 11 more quilts (including a OHGWQ for a friend's daughter) and have so many more in the works. I have my own quilting blog and have become very active in the online quilting community. We moved into a new house just over a year ago and I now have my own crafting studio which makes me happier than just about most things, except my kids of course.

And it is all because of the squish swaps. That one little first swap got me hooked and I haven't looked back.

What I also wanted to tell you is that each and every time I look at Jammer's quilt, look through his scrapbook of wishes or tell someone about it (typically a fellow quilter who hasn't heard of these types of quilts before), I think of all of you, each and every one of you that contributed to this quilt and the journeys to our babies that we shared together.

I do truly hope that your lives now are happy and you are enjoying your days as a family. I know we are. Sunshine's 100 Good Wishes Quilt will be started soon and I'll be happy to share pictures of that if anyone is interested. If you still have your fabrics in a pile waiting to be turned into a quilt and need someone to do that for you, email me at mak8818@nycap.rr.com. I have 2 other friends waiting in the wings for me to make the quilts for their daughters and I'd be happy to add you to the list. I have so many great quilt patterns that will look great as one of these quilts and I know that having the quilt completed instead of sitting in a box somewhere is so much better.

Best wishes to all of you from all of us. The memories from our waiting days will stay with me forever.

Hugs, Michele, Chuck, Jammer and Sunshine

To M Jonsson´s Secret Pal--Cyndi Williams!

Sorry about this late thank you. I couldn´t attend the cyber shower and right now time just flies by. We are tired of waiting for our child!!
So I have been planning a trip for 2,5 weeks to Thailand for the past month or so. We still are waiting though! So that’s why I’m out of track with this thank you.
I´m sorry for that.

Thank you so much for the last gift: the book “Taste of the Midwest”. Lots of great recipes and reading about that part of the country and restaurants cafés etc.

I have loved having you as my Secret Pal, you have been the best Secret Pal ever.
I have enjoyed every month´s gift. You have been so thoughtful to me and also to our daughter Amanda 4,5, who also have received gifts. She has been a little bit jealous of “the baby” for getting so much fun toys and other things. So when she got her own gifts she was so so happy. That was a very special thing of you to do. So extra thanks for that.

I really hope that we can see the end of this long waiting this year.

Thank you so much from Marianne Jonsson, Falun, Sweden

Thank you Dal-Corobbo Family! In December, we received some adorable ornaments, pjs bags for the girls, and a special "Journey of a thousand miles ..." framed keepsake. We cherish it all.

You have been awesome secret pals! We have loved opening each one of your gifts, and especially appreciated everything Australian!

We hope to meet up with you in China [soon :)].

Thank you to Karen Thomas. I was so happy to see my box for this month I couldn't wait to get it open. After I wiped my eyes from the sweet card. We opened the gifts. I loved them all so much. The matching hat and mittens are just the cutest thing ever and I can't wait to get them on our baby girl. The scarf and onsie are also great and who can go wrong with chocolate.
Thanks
Lisa and Chester Moore

To M Jonsson´s secret Pal!

Thank you so much for November´s gift with the nice red outfit.
I just love the small ladybug tote bag with art material. It´s so adorable.

December´s gift was so nice with the special photo arrangement. The painting with the Chinese word for love will be perfect beside the crib for our new child, hopefully soon to be.

I wish you a Happy New Year!
Thank you so much from Marianne Jonsson
